ANOTHER WORKING DAY

Red sun is rising, chase away the stars

Little rooster crowing out in the chicken yard

Alarm clock rings get up you sleepy head

Smell the coffee cooking, helps me out of bed

I’m up early to help you on your way

A kiss for luck it’s another working day

And when you’ve gone away

I wonder how I made it through each day without you

Because of you I want to sing sometimes

I feel like I have wings when I think of all the things I love about you

And when the long cold night comes creeping around

I hold you tight and I all hear is the sound

Of your soft breathing ~ I can feel your heart beating

I’m tired it’s the end of the day

A kiss goodnight and slowly I drift away

Some might say I’m crazy, some think me a fool

But I’ll be happy every day as long as I’m with you

The little things we say, the little things we do

A million little ways to say “I love you”

I don’t need a fancy home or expensive thing

All I need is you and a happy song to sing

And when you’ve gone away

And when the working week is done we’ll be

Together having fun planting flowers in the sun because we want to
